Mark, I'm not sure if this was intentional, but you single-handedly catapulted February 2009 into the top echelon of prolific Mel Wire months with this post. This is number 57 (with five days remaining in February, no less), topping the previous record holder July 2006 (56 posts).
In a related story, the fact that I've excitedly (albeit silently) tracked your progress toward this goal over the past week is perhaps the strongest indictment yet of my unemployed lifestyle. Either that or the admission that I haven't seen the front end of 9 o'clock in over a month.
In any event, congratulations. And I believe I speak for everyone when I say good riddance. I'm tired of checking this thing for updates twelve times a day. Welcome back, Mel!

A fine job as a substitute. Obviously no replacement for the true TMW, but I would recommend you as a sub for other bloggers worldwide. If your day job doesn't go well, perhaps you have found your back up plan.
