A small vignette from yesterday:

Los Campesinos! lead singer Gareth jumped into the crowd halfway through their set to allow the kids to sing "You! Me! Dancing!" into his microphone, as is his wont. He turned around to climb back onstage, but his obvious lack of physical conditioning prevented him from being able to execute the simple pull-up required to return to his bandmates. As they continued playing through the bridge, two security guards rushed from backstage and engaged in an extended tug-of-war. Ultimately they pulled him up, and Gareth finished singing the song while wrapped around the legs of the two security guards as the crowd cheered wildly through a mixture of hilarity and pity.

Flash forward about a half-hour later to set-closer "Sweet Dreams, Sweet Cheeks." Gareth again jumps into the crowd for the first verse. As they play the chorus, he throws the microphone back on stage, and then takes off running around the side of the stage, so he can use the stairs this time around.

You can't put a price on that type of comedy.
