I echo your sentiment, Mel. Truly a momentous occasion for this country that reduced me to an emotional mess last night. Even though I thought Obama would win the election comfortably, the sheer magnitude of his margin acts as a terrific mandate from the people moving forward. And reading the international reaction in the NY Times this morning demonstrates just what this nomination means when we consider the concept of American democracy.
In short, I absolutely cannot wait until January 20, 2009.
On a lighter note, if you haven't visited theonion.com recently, do yourself a favor.
